Upon successful completion of the course, students will:
-Develop the realization of a proposal for an artistic 3D project.
-Focus in-depth on topics relevant to the correlation between sculpture, its development in space, and its content.
-Detect, through research, contemporary sculpture artists, and trends that share common traits with their proposal.
-be accustomed to sculptors’ professional practices.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Supervised artistic research on students’ proposals that are focused on their concept, and the correlation between sculpture, development in space, and content. Constructive dialogue with all the members of the studio is supported for issues that address individual sculptural proposals. Emphasis on students’ personal artistic inquiry with references to contemporary sculptors and subject matters of their interest. Debates and enhancement of critical discourse on issues that address subject, material, and realization of their sculptural project. In the form of seminars, the emphasis is placed on issues of professional artistic practice.
Artistic activities and exhibitions are organized, in collaboration with social and educational institutes to enhance both students' artistic and educational skills.
