Learning Outcomes
Through the teaching of the course, students will be able to make use of the resources available to the Church of Greece. They will be informed about the course of the Greek Church during the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, and will know about its relationship with the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the other Churches.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course follows, through the sources, the course of the Church of Greece, from the proclamation of its autocephalous, to the present day. 1. The spread of Christianity in Greece according to the Acts of the Apostles 2. The letters of the Apostle Paul to the Thessalonians and the Corinthians 3. Martyrs and Saints of Greece during the Roman period 4. The sources of the Church of Greece during the Byzantine period 5. The sources of the Church of Greece during the period of Ottoman domination 6. Declaration of the autocephalous of 1833. Sources 7. Proclamation of the canonical autocephalous of 1850. Sources 8. The annexation of the Ionian Islands to the Church of Greece. Sources 9. The annexation of Thessaly and part of Εpιrus to the Church of Greece. Sources 10. The Chartes of the Church of Greece 11. The Church of Greece during the dictatorship. Sources. 12. The restoration of order in the Church of Greece 13. Relations between the Church of Greece and the State in our time
