Learning Outcomes
Upon the completion of the course students will be able to apply theoretical models to the study of literature, to take advantage of the interdisciplinary character of theory and be sensitive to issues of gender and alterity.

Course Content (Syllabus)
This course aims to introduce undergratuates to the Critical Theory produced as from the early 20th century to date. We focus on Russian Formalism, American New Criticism, Structuralism, Narratology, Post-Structuralism, Roland Barthes and Deconstruction, among other issues.
