Learning Outcomes
Upon seccessful completion of the course, students will be able to read and comment on a Byzantine historiographical text. They will also be able to discuss, based on specific texts, various research problems related to Byzantine historiography.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Familiarity with the basic characteristics of the literaty genre of historiography, as well as the modern research views of it. Interpretation and analysis of texts by Byzantine historians.
