Student Assessment
Description
The evaluation of students is based on the examination process (written and oral) at the end of the semester, as well as their (voluntary) participation in the preparation and conduct of a seminar, which is presented publicly with student presentations at the end of the semester. To ensure transparency in the evaluation of student performance, a predefined detailed grading is used for each individual problem related to the exam practical case and theoretical questions, as well as the topics of the seminar papers, in which students are examined and graded. This method is made known to the students during the courses and the preparation of the seminars. Students are individually informed about their performance in the seminar paper and receive corrections of their work with observations and analysis of their performance based on the predefined criteria that are communicated to them along with the result of the work. Regarding the evaluation of their performance in the exams, the students are supposed to come during the lessons to see their writings and to receive personal explanations for their performance based on the above mentioned criteria, which are recorded together. with the solutions of the topics and with which the analysis of their degree in writing is compared.
