Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of this course, students: 1. Have proven knowledge and ability to understand issues in special field of Competition Law. 2. Be able to use in practice the knowledge and understanding ability acquired. 3. Be able to develop and support legal arguments and to propose practical solutions to legal problems on the special field of Competition Law. 4. Be able to provide accurate information on the issues of Competition Law towards to both qualified and non-qualified audience.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course "COMMERCIAL LAW - COMPETITION LAW" is taught in the 4th semester of undergraduate studies. The aim of the course is both to familiarize students with basic concepts (such as competition, general clause, unfair acts etc.) of Competition Law and to obtain a first substantive overall understanding of this particular branch of Commercial Law. In particular, the course includes the following teaching modules: 1. General Introduction - Concept of competition - Competition law. 2. The general clause of unfair competition - unfair acts under the general clause (acts of customer attraction, acts of obstruction, acts of exploitation of a foreign service, acts of precedence through breach of law or contract, acts of market risk) - Illegal “in stricto senso” competitive acts (Inaccurate Statements, announcement of sale of goods from bankruptcy, announcement of sale due to dissolution, acts against the reputation of the business etc). 3. Legal protection (The individual civil claims, legitimation-proceedings). 4. Antitrust Law - The prohibiton of agreements preventing, restricting or distorting competition - Abuse of dominant position - Control of business concentrations - Procedure for the application of competition rules.
