Learning Outcomes
The aim of this course is for students - to know the basic notions of Phonetics/Phonology, - to acquire a correct pronunciation of the French language, - to know the basic principles of the oral evolution of languages, taking the French language as an example, - to become capable of developing learning strategies in order to improve the pronunciation of French language.

Course Content (Syllabus)
- Diagnostic assessment of the students’ pronunciation quality - Elements of phonetics - Elemens of phonology - Description of the vocal organs and their role in the formation of sounds - Taxonomy of the sound of French language - Writing of oral speech using the international phonetic alphabet - Applications of the above in history of phonetics, in orthoepy (exercises) and in language didactics.
