Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: -Describe historical facts about the Asia Minor catastrophe and the refugee issue and their consequences in the life of the Church more broadly. -Work scientifically on historical sources, which refer to the rehabilitation of the refugees in the local metropolises -Approach data from the ecclesiastical history of Greece of this period -Analyze historical data regarding the problems of refugees as well as the institutions that deal with these problems, but also the role of the Church in dealing with their various needs

Course Content (Syllabus)
After the Asia Minor catastrophe refugee populations of Hellenism from Asia Minor will settle in the areas of Greek territory. Metropolitans of the Greek Church in cooperation with the Greek governments they will contribute in dealing with the problems of feeding, housing, education, worship needs of the refugees.
