Upon completing the course the students
-will be familiar with the German 18th & 19th century
-will know how Enlightened Absolutism and the French Revolution affected and influenced Goethe and Schiller
-will have understood how Winkelmann's studies and the German Bilderb[rgertums turn to the Greek Antiquity shaped the Wemar Classicism
-will have studied and analysed the classic plays by Goethe and Schiller
