Learning Outcomes
The student after the successful conclusion of the course will be able to - know how to do a bibliographic survey and will have obtain the basic knowledge for the organization and study of bibliography - know the theories of History and Literature Translation - Relate theory with practice through in History of translations of Italian Literature - to plan and organise of research in the field of History of translations of Italian Literature - Know the most important translations of Italian Literature in greek language - collect textual data and to do textual analysis - fulfil studies of translation critique - understand the relation and the interaction between Ιtalian and Ηellenic literature via translations

Course Content (Syllabus)
Greece goes through several political, economical, social and cultural phases. Greece and Italy, due to their geographical vicinity, have almost had mutual cultural influences. The Ionian Sea is a bridge between the two cultures which are at various levels inter-related. In the area of the Greek literary production, awareness and influence of the Italian literature can be traced both on the Greek literature itself and on the Greek translations of Italian works.
