Learning Outcomes
The student must understand the benefits, the prerequisites and the possible risks of local anesthesia in dentistry and having the knowledge theoretically and practically to be able to administer the anesthetic compounds with the maximum efficiency and safety for his patient.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The aims of the subject are:
• Practical and Theoretical education of the students in the subject of the local dental anesthesia
• Emphasis in the drugs and techniques used up today
• Limitations in local anesthesia application
• Effects of the local anesthesia in General Health
• Extensive teaching of the management protocols regarding patients with systematic diseases or chronically receiving drugs
