Learning Outcomes
With the successful completion of the lesson, the students will be familiar with the nature and the spirit of the theology of the Fathers, they will understand the orthodox patristic thought. Generally they will know the tradition of the Church. The use of the sources of the Patrology and the related bibliography included at the aim of the lesson as well.

Course Content (Syllabus)
They are presented and developed the basic characteristics of the patristic theology, which defined the spiritual physiognomy of Orthodoxy. The sources of the Patrology and the way of their use are studied here as well. 1. Introductory lesson 2. Sources of the science of Patrology 3. A’. Which is the way of writing a scientific (diplomatic) work. 4. a) B’ Which is the way of writing a scientific (diplomatic) work. b) Attendance of the scientific colloquium of the P.P.S. of the School, the “Exegeticum-Seminar of Orthodox Hermeneutical Theology” 5. A’ The Fathers as holdovers of the apostolic tradition 6. Β’ The Fathers as holdovers of the apostolic tradition 7 Presentation and annotation of the work of a post graduate student. 8. a) Consensus patrum. b) Attendance of the scientific colloquium of the P.P.S. of the School, the “Exegeticum-Seminar of Orthodox Hermeneutical Theology” 9.
