Student Assessment
Description
Achievement of learning goals is evaluated at the end of the semester on the basis of written exams, laboratory exams (identification of plant taxa) and the assembly of a collection of plant specimens. Successful pass of the course requires successful pass on all three assignments (written and laboratory exams accepted collection of plant specimens) Written exams comprise multiple choice and short/extended answer questions. Total grade is the sum of all grades scored in the three exams/assignments multiplied by a fixed weight of importance as follows: Written exams grade: 70% Laboratory exercises grade: 10% Plant collection: 20%
Student Assessment methods
  • Written Exam with Multiple Choice Questions (Summative)
  • Written Exam with Short Answer Questions (Summative)
  • Written Exam with Extended Answer Questions (Summative)
  • Oral Exams (Summative)
  • Labortatory Assignment (Summative)
