Wireless Communication Channel Modeling - Path loss - Fading channels Cellular Communication Systems - Characteristics of cells - Base stations - Interference - Hand-over techniques Transmission and Reception in Wireless Systems - Diversity reception techniques - ΜΙΜΟ systems (spatial multiplexing, space-time coding, beamforming) - OFDM systems Fundamentals of 3G (UMTS) and 4G (LTE, LTE-A) Mobile Systems Satellite Communications - Introduction, history and applications of satellite services - Basic components of satellite communication systems - Link budget calculation - Multiple access techniques in satellite systems
