Learning Outcomes
Students are expected upon the successive completion of the course:
• To know the basic principles and approaches to the assessment of aerobic and anaerobic capacity
• To understand the importance of aerobic and anaerobic fitness in team sports performance
• To acquire the theoretical and practical skills to perform independently specific laboratory and field tests to assess aerobic and anaerobic capacity for team sports athletes
• Be able to interpret and evaluate ergometric measurements of aerobic / anaerobic capacity for team sports athletes
• To use the results of ergometric tests of aerobic / anaerobic capacity to design training programs for team sports athletes

•Fundamental Principles and Approaches to Assessment of Aerobic Performance - Basic Principles Cardiopulmonary exercise testing
• Protocols for measuring maximal oxygen consumptionand anaerobic threshold in team sports (theory)
• Protocols for measuring aerobic capacity in team sports (practice - laboratory)
• Protocols for measuring aerobic capacity in team sports (practice - field)
• Protocols for measuring aerobic capacity in team sports (practice - field)
• Calculation-evaluation-interpretation of the results of maximum oxygen uptake
• Calculation and evaluation of the respiratory threshold from the maximal incremental exercise test
• Calculation and evaluation of lactate threshold from the maximal incremental exercise test
• Assessment of anaerobic capacity - Basic principles (theory)
• Evaluation of anaerobic capacity in team sports (practice-laboratory)
