Learning Outcomes
First approach of the students with the everyday practice of the profession of Rural and Surveying Engineers. Work in the various fields of the RSE science in order to gain experiences and valuable assets for their future enrolment in the private or public sectors. Experience in field surveying, geodesy, photogrammetry, cartography, GIS, road works and design, transportation, hydraulics and environmental studies.
Course Content (Syllabus)
The Internship program of the RSE students is conducted in the productive sector (companies, organizations, engineering or consulting offices, etc.) to meet and familiarize students with their future employment subject. The practice is performed in the winter or spring semester and aims at students who have finished the sixth or seventh semester in order to have the necessary knowledge and therefore the greatest benefit to students. The total exercise duration is 12 weeks. The student shall present to the faculty member's (supervisor of practice) an analytical calendar of the day-to-day activities carried out during the Internship. Participation in this program is for those students enrolled in either the 9th of 10th semester of the Department and have not participated in the program RSVP in the past.
The selection criteria are: a) Students at the 9th and 10th Semester are pre-qualified, b) the number of courses that the student(s) has successfully completed and c) the overall grade at the time of the RSVP program.
