Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. to understand the processes of water resources pollution and protection 2. to handle and solve of water resources management and use in agriculture. 3. to find the optimus solution for wastewater treatment, the disposal in the natural systems and the protection of water systems. 4. to colaborate and desing case studies of water management, eg natural resources use, treatment, disposal of effluents and wastewater, lake. stream water and groundwater manageemnt 5. to find solution of using marginal water quality sources, as salty and semisalinity and effluent of wastewater treatment in agriculture 6. to use mathematical models to describe changes in quality and to manage water quality of water resources

Course Content (Syllabus)
Water quality. Pollution of surface and groundwater. Principles and equations of mass and energy balance in water systems. Mass transport processes in streams/rivers and porous media. Molecular and turbulent diffusion, convection and trasformations. Dispersion coefficient. Mass transport equations in surface and groundwater. Limnology principles: water temperature, stratification, eutrophication and renovation. Nitrogen, phosphorus, pesticides and other inorganic material of water in soil, groundwater and cultivated fields. Wastewater treatment, disposal and processes in the soil. Integrated models to protect of lake, stream, soil and groundwater from pollution sources. Agriculture as source of environmental pollution.Protection of agricultural activities from sources of degradation and pollution. Renovation of quality of water resources.
