Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: -Approach critically Old Testament texts -Describe the historical context of the Old Testament Poetical and Prophetical books -Use the critical text and the relevant biblical terminology as a scientific tool for Old Testament Poetical and Prophetical books interpretation -Interpret the biblical texts by making the necessary references to modern reality

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course approaches the the Old Testament based on the interpretive tradition of the Orthodox Church and the findings of modern biblical science. In particular one psalm from each literary separately is analysed. Moreover the issue of Jewish eschatology, is approached according the Old Testament Prophets.
