Course Content (Syllabus)
The course will examine the development of Greek educational policy during the period starting with the 'dictatorship of Metaxas' (1936) and ending with the fall of the 'dictatorship of the 21st of April' (1967). The three axes around which this postgraduate course will centre are the following: 1) The development of conservative ideas and politics on education. 2) The development and main characteristics of official educational policy. 3) The pressure groups, intellectuals and press that hosted and expressed these views.
