Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course typical students should be able to translate small specialised texts within the thematic fields already treated. To this aim, they are expected to perform terminology mining, documentation research and evaluation of the terminological resources founded.

Course Content (Syllabus)
This course aims to acquaint students to the techniques of Specialized Translation from French into Greek. To this intent, students are asked to translate authentic texts in the fields of winemaking, ecology and tourism and to exercise themselves in term mining and documentation methods (internet research, parallel texts, glossaries, etc.) and to get acquainted with CAT tools.

Description
Both courses and the exams take place in a computer laboratory, where students get trained in texts treatment and translation, having access to electronic resources (term bases, glossaries, CAT tools). The course material is published on e-class. Students can communicate with the instructor either by e-mail or via the platform of e-class.

Description
The assessment for this course consists of continuous evaluation with at least two assignments during the semester (weight: 40%), participation in classwork (weight: 20%) and a final exam (weight: 40%). The assessment procedure is presented in the course description on e-class, described in outline in the courses guide, and explained to the students.
