Course Content (Syllabus)
Fundamental issues from Greek, German and European Union's Commercial Law. In particular, the following issues are presented comparatively in German and Greek law (which are similar anyway), with a particular emphasis on EU law aspects of the topics involved: The notions of merchant and commercial acts, as well as particular commercial acts (in particular commission business). Moreover, commercial publicity, the merchant's firm, distribution systems (with an emphasis on commercial agency in the light of the applicable EU Directive), fundamentals of accounting law, as well as the Directive on combating late payments in commercial transactions. German and EU case law are used to highlight various aspects of the syllabus.
