Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course the students will be able to - have a thorough understanding of the specificity and the differences of Greek criminal law compared to penal legislature in other legal orders - understand the meaning und the practical effects of the fundamental liberal guaranties enshrined in the Constitution with regard to the adoption and implementation of criminal law rules - understand the basic concepts and the key doctrinal structures related to the notion of the crime - understand the basic elements of the most important crimes of the Greek Penal Code

Course Content (Syllabus)
This course of "Introduction to Greek Criminal Law" (taught in German language) deals with the presentation of the fundamental principles of the General Part of the Greek Penal Code. In particular, the teaching on act and omission, causation, grounds of justification and culpability is briefly presented. In addition, the most important crimes standardized in the Special Part of the Penal Code are presented (crimes against life and physical integrity, crimes against property, etc).
