Course Content (Syllabus)
Privacy and data protection. Definition of personal data. The main categories of personal data protection. Data protection principles. International instruments of data protection (Council of Europe, OECD, UN, EU). The EU Directives on Data Protection (General Framework Directive, Privacy in eCommunications and Data Retention). Cases of the ECJ. Specific issues: Data Protection on the Internet, police sector, biometrics, etc. Risk analysis. Types of computer crime's prevention measures. Practical prevention measures. Introduction to data security. OECD data security guidelines. Data security strategy
