Course Content (Syllabus)
The poetic work of Kostis Palamas was essential for the evolution of Modern Greek poetry and important for the shaping of ideological area from the end of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century. The main poetic compositions of Palamas will be studied, as well as texts belonging to the literary items of fiction, drama and literary theory and critique. It will also be emphasized that Palamas was an important historian of Modern Greek literature, while literary criticisms of his multifaceted work will be studied.
