Learning Outcomes
The aim of the module is to give students the adequate knowledge (theoretical and practical) so the will be capable teaching rhythmic gymnastics in elementary and secondary education, and in athletic clubs (private and national team).

Course Content (Syllabus)
Theory Code of Points by FIG about hoop, clubs and ribbon. Analyzing the construct of a program for young and for elite athletes. Evaluation of a program with hoop, clubs or ribbon. Coaching plans for athletes, juniors and women. Coaching methods and psychological support during practice and the competitions. In the lectures students learn about issues of ballet, biomechanical, rhythmic, music, choreography, diet, psychology, injury prevention. Practice 1st unit: Mastering technical elements with ball. Pre-exercises about jump jeté en tournant and illusion. Combination of acrobatic elements. 2nd unit: rolls (simple and complex) over the body during body elements difficulty A. Practicing jeté en tournant and its variations. 3rd unit: analyzing theory about choreographies with ball for junior and women athlete’s category. Practicing. 4th unit: Mastering technical elements with clubs. 5th unit: practicing technical elements with clubs: figure eight, rotations, miles. 6th unit: analyzing theory about choreographies with clubs for junior and women athlete’s category. Practicing. 7th unit: Mastering technical elements with ribbon. Different types of throws accompanied with body elements. 8th unit: practicing technical elements with short ribbon (2 and 4 meters long) for young athletes. Games. 9th unit: analyzing theory about choreographies with ribbon for junior and women athlete’s category. Practicing. 10th unit: Ensemble: with 3 and 5 apparatus (same of different). Code of Points about ensemble. 11th unit: analyzing theory about choreographies for ensemble. 12th unit: details about constructing a choreography with ball, clubs, and ribbon. 13th unit: Practicing how to organize a coaching plan for different ages.

Student Assessment
Description
Students are evaluated in theory and practice. In theory examination, students are examined in the topics of the lectures and in practice students are evaluated by presenting chorographical compositions using the apparatus of this semester (ball, clubs, ribbon, ensemble). The final degree is the sum of the evaluation in theory and in practice, divided by two. Excellent score is ten.
