Learning Outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with a general overview of different sensors and transducers . The students get acquainted with measurement methods mainly from the perspective of their use and less in terms of their construction. They develop a deeper understanding of the principles of measurement and problems associated with the selection and implementation of a method.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Sensors and transducers, operating principles and properties. Dynamics of measurement systems. Position transducers, power, torque, speed, acceleration, pressure, flow, level, temperature sensors. Data acquisition systems (isolation amplifiers, ADC and DAC convertres).
