Prerequisites
General Prerequisites
The purpose of the exercise is to understand and consolidate the process of estimating forest productivity data for the University Forest of Pertouli (MFF). The aim of the exercise is to estimate the actual entry for four sections of the MFF, applying the methods of mathematical formulas, as well as the assessment of the sustainable entry of the 4 sections. The final result is the comparison of the sustainable entry with the total forestry entry of all sections. At the end of the exercise, a paper is submitted to evaluate the learning outcomes.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students 1. Will be able to plan the work of the forest inventory if given the data of the forest under management. 2. They will have the ability to evaluate timber stock, surcharge and various entry categories. 3. They will be able to determine the final entry based on the control method. 4. They will have acquired the ability to plan the management of Greek and European forests
General Competences
  • Apply knowledge in practice
  • Retrieve, analyse and synthesise data and information, with the use of necessary technologies
  • Make decisions
  • Work in teams
