· Ability to construct a course template with the use of literary texts which are adequate for the needs of a multicultural approach to French language teaching and learning

Course Content (Syllabus)
The aim of this course is to enable students to develop and practice creative strategies and skills with regards to the ways they can make use of literary texts in the process of teaching French while improving their own linguistic background. The course is addressed to future French language teachers who will have to face the challenges of a multicultural education; therefore this unit will mainly focus on French and francophone literary texts, while providing, with the aid of specific exercises and assignments, a critical overview of the communicative, aesthetic, poetic and cross-cultural function of language.
