Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, ALL THE STUDENTS COULD BE ABLE TO COMPREHEND THE LOCALITY AS CULTURAL AKD IDENTITY- they are expected to understand the characteristics of on-site historical research and to obtain the required theoretical background for its design and elaboration. To acquire the required methodological background, in order to lead to the formulation of research questions and their empirical investigation in relation to the historical parameters.To COMPREHEND the different constructions of THE PUBLIC HISTORIC DISCOURCE, which mean action, historical, class, cultural and artistic BEHAVIORS THAT CAN BE found in everyday life. HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE METHODS CONCERN BIBLIOGRAPHY, ARCHIVES, DIGITAL RESEARCH PLUS THE RECOGNITION OF THE HISTORICAL SOURCES.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Local history, indicates the research and study carried out locally in relation to the knowledge of the history of the wider area and is no different from any other historiographical activity. The course is part of the field of cultural studies and concerns local history, which can be applied locally, in the context of modern history, and provide information on the historical-cultural identity of a region in a historical period. The presentation of the general goal of the course is attempted through the presentation of a comprehensive historical research, which concerns the local history of DIFFERENT CASE STUDIES (THRACIAN AREA IS AN EXAMPLE) USING EACH TIME THS STUDENTS LOCALITY.

View slides with the necessary elements of the curriculum, use the internet to view examples and applications related to the curriculum. Utilization of the internet for the presentation of an example of application of handicraft analysis on a group basis, by students, step by step. Individual AND groupS WILL PERFORM IN ORAL THEIR LOCAL RESEARCH during the semester for a full understanding of the curriculum • Utilization of the computer for the elaboration of group exemplary exercises • Oral presentation of work • Use of Multiple Bibliography. LOCAL RESEARCH IN ARCHIVES AND IN THE PUBLIC HISTORY.
