Course Content (Syllabus)
In the course, we focus on detection of the basic screening characteristics of Learning Disabilities in early childhood and on the development of intervention programmes. The following thematic units will be presented: Definition of learning disabilities. Characteristics of children with Learning Disabilities. Learning Disabilities and bilingualism. Screening for learning disabilities. Methods and tests of assessment of Learning Disabilities. Key principles and models of intervention in Learning Disabilities. Design an evidence based intervention programme. The role of preschool teacher in screening for learning disabilities and in intervention.
