Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course students will:
1. have acquired basic knowledge of the mechanisms involved in the feeding of farm animals
2. have understood the modern literature on the interpretation of mechanisms related to the physiology of nutrition and nutrition of farm animals
3. have understood the evolution of knowledge based on the nutritional needs of farm animals and their coverage with available feed
Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to nutrition. The concept of energy and nutrients in the diet of farm animals (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, horses, etc.). Nutritional needs of farm animals for maintenance, weight gain and production.
