Course Content (Syllabus)
Land reclamation and water resources works (irrigation, drainage, reservoirs and irrigation water supply, flood protection, artificial recharge). Case of land reclamation works in Greece. Delivery and distribution systems. Delivery and distribution systems with open channel and closed conduits for irrigation. Regulation and flow measurement methods. Irrigation units and flow. Design and construction principles of surface and subsurface drainage networks. Planning, operation, integrated and sustainable management of land reclamation works. Economic analysis and assessment of land reclamation works. Technical specifications of land reclamation works. Management body of land reclamation works.
