Course Content (Syllabus)
Soil ecosystem and river catchment area. Strategy for soil ecosystem preservation. Soil Quality. Soil functions evaluation. Soil quality assessment and soil quality index. Development of protocols and selection of soil quality indicators. Their interdependence and bioindicators. Impact assessment on soil resources in river catchment area scale. Natural resources economics. Chemical status of river catchment area. Legislative framework and scientific opinion. Inorganic pollution. Organic pollution. Monitoring of soil ecosystems in catchment area scale. Reduction condition in soils and wetalnds. Biological, chemical and natural remediation techniques.
