Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course students will:
1. have acquired a basic knowledge of the mechanisms involved in applied poultry nutrition
2. have understood the current literature on the nutritional needs of laying hens, broilers and other poultry, as well as the formulation of low-cost diets
Course Content (Syllabus)
Nutrition of laying hens, egg-production and reproduction layers, broilers, breeders and poultry of other kinds. Requirements in energy, protein, amino-acids, vitamins and minerals. Diet formulation.
