Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course:
-Students will have obtained elementary skills in the use of Spanish as a foreign language
-They will be able to handle simple everyday communicative situations through written or oral texts.
-They will be able to understand a written or oral text in simple language and adequately develop its central idea
-They will be able to express themselves in written and oral speech on simple topics related to their immediate environment.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to Spanish as a foreign language. It corresponds to the level of linguistic competence A1 (elementary knowledge), the first of six on the scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Grammar and syntactic phenomena are taught with communicative methodology practice and the use of oral and written texts, in order to achieve combined learning of oral and written production and comprehension in simple, colloquial language.
Students learn to describe in simple terms facts of the past and their environment, as well as issues related to immediate needs. They are prepared to be able to cope with simple discussions and write simple texts on issues of everyday life, travel and biography.
