Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students
• will be able to identify the various feed, coarse and concentrated their chemical composition, their main properties and their main methods of preservation
• will know the basic components of grasslands, their use as well as anti-nutritional factors that may be found in native or cultivated plants
• will understand the effect of animal nutrition on the quality of food products of animal origin
• will be able to formulate rations for different species of productive animals, monogastric (pig-birds) and ruminants (cattle, sheep, goats)
• will be able to formulate diets for pets such as dogs, cats and the equidae
