Course Content (Syllabus)
The presence of the Church in the social becoming dictates a constant, fruitful and productive dialogue between the Church and the Society. The topics of this dialogue must cover the existential quests of the members of each society and at any given time. Also the management of the modern problems of the society in the context of Christian counseling requires a global knowledge variety of these issues requires a multidisciplinary approach of an interdisciplinary nature. The seminar character of this course is stated with the participation of different teachers in the teaching who develop sections concerning issues of practical Theology in the context of a meeting of ecclesiastical discourse with modern man. The sections of the course are as follows: Pastoral healing. Pastoral opinion of Saint Nikodimos the Athonite on his book «Συμβουλευτικόν Εγχειρίδιον»and the contemporary pastoral reality. Church and charismatic pastoral ministry. Dependencies: one approach. The use of chemicals. Ecological ethics. The dignity of man. Concept, content and evaluation in terms of Christian ethics. The Holy and Great Synod of the Orthodox Church. The path to vision. The woman in public worship of God. Confession: the mystery of law and grace. The prominent status of parish priests as religious practitioners. The status of ΓΟΧ (Old Calendars) in the Greek state. Legal representation. Orthodoxy and International Relations. Family, multiculturalism and postmodernism.
