Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the students will:
1) Be able to perform matrix operations, calculate determinants, solve systems of equations, produce graphical representation of mathematical functions, calculate derivatives and integrals.
2) Distinguish the kinds of curves in 2 and 3 dimensions.
3) To understand and apply matrices, determinants, systems of equations, mathematical functions, derivatives and integrals in order to solve problems.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Matrices (operations, properties), determinants (properties), inverse of a matrix, rank, solution of linear systems. Analytical geometry (coordinate systems, equation of line, plane, circle etc.), quadric surfaces. Functions of one variable, graphical representation. Taylor-Maclaurin series. Derivatives. Integrals. Functions of multiple variables and partial derivatives. Applications.
