Learning Outcomes
Students are expected to: - realize the importance of materials in mechanical applications. - acquire general knowledge about the properties of materials and their significance in various applications. - correlate, to a first approximation, the properties of materials to their structure. - use the phase diagram to study the materials and to determine their properties. - familiarize with the different industrial alloys.
General Competences
  • Apply knowledge in practice
  • Retrieve, analyse and synthesise data and information, with the use of necessary technologies
  • Make decisions
  • Respect natural environment
  • Be critical and self-critical
  • Advance free, creative and causative thinking
