Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will:
1. Have become familiar with contemporary digital tools that could be used to produce artwork.
2. Understand the contribution of video art history of cinema, animation, web art, and new media such as interactive projects, 3D computer design, tracking for augmented video, augmented reality, and virtual reality to implement ideas for experimentation.
3. Identify the differences between digital and analog world.
4. Capture and process image, video, and audio with digital media.
5. know about the basic properties of Basic Digital File Properties, Size, Resolution, Density, Color System, File Types Categorization, Quantum Examples.
6. Collaborate with teachers to solve issues both technical and artistic during their practice.
7. Respond individually and in groups to combined exercises to achieve goals that have multifaceted fields of research.
Course Content (Syllabus)
The class aims to familiarize students with contemporary digital tools that could be used in their produced artwork. It includes seminars on the history of video art, cinema, animation, web art, and new media such as interactive projects, 3D computer design, animation, tracking for augmented video, augmented reality, and virtual reality, and experimental art for implementing artistic ideas. Practical comparison between the digital and the analog world and the capture of image, video, and audio using digital media. Digital image, video, and audio processing. Basic Digital File Properties, Size, Resolution, Density, Color System, File Types Categorization, Quantum Examples. Students work with teachers to solve issues both technical and artistic that arise during the semester. Team and individual practice on modules. Particular emphasis is placed on collaborative learning which is constantly supervised and facilitated by teachers and applied to complex work modules to achieve goals that have multifaceted fields of research.
