Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will:
- Develop the realization of a proposal for an artistic 3D project.
- Detect, through research, contemporary sculpture artists, and trends that share common traits with their proposal.
- Be able to debate upon the correlation between their choice of medium for their sculptural proposal with their conceptual context.
- Broaden their material experimentation with components such as acrylic resins, ceramic clays, and glazes.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Continuance of the artistic growth with individual 3D artistic proposals presented by students in the studio. Individual research is supported by presentations and references to artists and trends that share common ideas in contemporary sculpture. Debates on the correlation between the choice of certain materials for a 3D project, and its conceptual context.
Seminars concerning the use of composite materials such as alginate matter for mold casting, ceramic clays, glazes, and acrylic resins to broaden the experimentation.
Artistic activities and exhibitions are organized, in collaboration with social and educational institutes to enhance both students' artistic and educational skills.
