• Work in an interdisciplinary team
Course Content (Syllabus)
Static and dynamic analysis of asymmetric single-storey buildings: Shear center (center of Rigidity or center of twist) and centers of eigen-vibration, coupled torsional-translational vibration and torsional sensitivity, seismic response and seismic loads, equivalent static eccentricities, seismic codes provisions. Static and dynamic analysis of asymmetric multistorey buildings: fictitious elastic axis and free vibration, seismic response and seismic loads, spatial superposition (directional combination) and simultaneous values of response parameters. Introduction to inelastic structural analysis. Curvature Ductility and Displacement ductility. Introduction to non Linear Static Analysis (push over analysis).
