Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to Transport Economics, basic concepts and definitions , elasticities, cost, pricing of transport services. Transport policy in E.U. , policy bodies and institutions, basic objectives and means to realize it. Transport in the frame of Hellenic Economy. Competition terms in freight transport in Greece. Investment evaluation methods in the transport sector. Cost-benefit analysis (present value method, cost-benefit ratio, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), etc.), multi-criteria analysis.
