Prerequisites
General Prerequisites
The student should be familiar with the basic principles of Hydraulics (closed conduits and open channels) and of Water supply, Sewerage ans storm water systems.
Learning Outcomes
After the successfull completion of the course the student will be able to: (1) design and analyse water supply, wastewater and stormwater sytems using available computer programs EPANET, SWMM) (2) design hydraulic structures which are used in such systems (storage tanks, valves, siphons, manholes etc). (3) analyse, assess and manage the risk associated with such systems.
General Competences
  • Apply knowledge in practice
  • Retrieve, analyse and synthesise data and information, with the use of necessary technologies
  • Make decisions
  • Work autonomously
  • Design and manage projects
