Learning Outcomes
Knowledge: Training of students on basic knowledge of communication systems. Αdvanced modulation formats, transmission lines and their basic characteristics, noise description, types of noise in transmission lines, signal and noise energy, transmission line characterization techniques (BER, Q- factor, eye diagram, SNR), AWGN channels, transmitter implementation technologies for advanced modulation techniques and receiver implementation technologies (homodyne, heterodyne, receiver noise)
Skills: Acquiring the ability to identify the basic characteristics of the transmission lines, transmission line characterization techniques (BER, Q- factor, eye diagram, SNR) and also the ability to identify the signal from noise along with different types of noise . Solving Exercises, searching for bibliographic information. Presentation of their work (communication ability, correct use of presentation techniques, familiarization with questions from the public).
