Learning Outcomes
Students are expected to get familiarized with the concepts of Sport Psychology, comprehend the ways with which it contributes to the enhancement of training outcomes, understand the theoretical approaches and apply various suggested techniques, connect theory to practice in class, be sensetive to the treatment of the human factor both in training and competitions, comprehend basic aspects of psychological preparation of athletes and become aware of the approaches to be adopted in order to build efficient teams.

The coach as leader. Models of effective leadership. Relations between coach and athletes. 6. The psychodynamics of the sport team. Homogeneity and performance. Factors contributing to cohesion. Communication and conflict resolution. 7. Emotions in sport. Theories, models and research findings. Anxiety, stress activation. 8. Attention an concentration in sport. Models.
