Learning Outcomes
AIM: This unit aims to analyze the organizational theory in relation to human resource management and discuss the practices that should be used by sport and leisure organizations, in a strategic setting. At the end of the unit the students should be able to: • Understand the three levels of organizational theory (individual, team, organizational level) and their interaction • Understand motivation theories and how they influence job satisfaction • Apply empowerment strategies for employee increasing commitment and work productivity • Analyze the role of leadership on organizational performance • Plan the process of staffing and employee training in sport organizations • Use employee evaluation models and rewarding practices • Understand the dynamics of organizational culture and manage organizational change
