Course Content (Syllabus)
We will explain the structure of markets as they are shaped by the strategic behavior of firms. Pricing behavior as well as other strategies define the degree of competition and market form. The course will deal with issues such as concentration and market power, market power measurement, vertical relationships, product differentiation, advertising, entry and exit in the industry. Topics include concentration and market power, measurement of market power, oligopoly, cartels, vertical relations, product differentiation, digital platforms and competition policy. (1 ΕCTS = 25 hours of workload)
