At the end of the course, students will be able to: a. be familiar with the basic principles of systems theory and communication theory b. conceptualise families as systems, in the context of which, psychopathology may manifest itself. c. know the basic principles of family therapy approaches.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Family as an evolving system. Basic principles of systems theory and communication theory. Family life cycle and genograms. Families as systems, in the context of which, psychopathology may manifest itself. Basic principles of family therapy approaches. Current approaches to family therapy.
