Learning Outcomes
1. Students will have acquired specialized knowledge on the trends of modern and contemporary Greek art [MCGA] in painting, sculpture, architecture 2. Analyse and assess formal, typological and ideological parameters of MCGA 3. Correlate MCGA with its international counterparts of the same period 4. Answer specialized questions within the specific topic, which call for a combination of critical thinking and knowledge

Course Content (Syllabus)
The Greek version of modernism in painting, sculpture and architecture from the early decades to the present. Postwar and contemporary developments in Greek art within the pale of conventional media and through the appropriation of space. The aim is to investigate the relationship of Greek painting, sculpture, architecture to the priorities of Greek society (cultural, social, economic, political) within the historical horizon of prevalent worldviews that define Greek cultural identity Week #1.What is the meaning of Greek art in the context of globalization Week #2.
